RISE

A Spring Equinox Women’s Retreat for Lymphatic Renewal

March 18-21, 2027
Hot Springs, NC

Rise with spring through the wisdom of the body.

As the earth softens, sap rises and new life stirs, we’ll gather in a circle of magical women to do the same—thawing what has been held through winter, tending the waters within and gently awakening our vitality.

The Inner Waters

Your lymphatic system—the body’s inner river—has no central pump like the heart. It is carried by movement, breath and warmth, and supported by herbs long used to keep the lymph moving. After a season of stillness, it is ready to flow again.

This is not a harsh or restrictive cleanse. It’s a Wise Woman approach to spring renewal: Earth-honoring, nourishing to the tissues and inner waters, and rooted in the understanding that the body knows how to cleanse, restore and regenerate when it is given the right conditions. We put nourishment before depletion and work in partnership with the body rather than against it.

We’ll also sit in circle to explore our relationship to nourishment. Many of us learned to restrict, to earn our rest or to feed everyone else first. Together, we’ll look gently at what we were taught about food, hunger, rest and pleasure—and practice receiving what we need without guilt.

Movement, Warmth & Rest

Over four days together, we’ll support the body’s natural rhythms through herbal medicine, movement, warmth, lymphatic care, sensual embodiment and deep rest—creating space for what has grown stagnant to begin moving again and for your own life force to rise.

We’ll enjoy mineral-rich, Ayurveda-informed meals designed to support digestion and seasonal renewal without deprivation. Our days will weave together yoga and somatic movement, fascial release, lymphatic self-massage, dry skin brushing and warm herbal body oiling, alongside creekside saunas and optional cold plunges in the mountain waters.

Spring Plant Allies

Together, we’ll meet some of the tender green allies that emerge with spring—lymphatic herbs such as cleavers, dandelion, violet and chickweed, along with nettle and spicebush—learning how they have traditionally been used to support the lymph, digestion, elimination and the body’s seasonal transition. We’ll drink herbal infusions, prepare simple spring medicines and craft herbal body oils to take home.

Pleasure & Presence

And because rejuvenation is about more than the physical body, we’ll make space for pleasure, beauty and sensual presence: feeling the sun on your skin, walking beside the creek, breathing mountain air, resting and remembering what it feels like to inhabit your body as a living part of the Earth.

The Spring Equinox marks the moment when darkness and light meet in balance—a threshold for emerging from winter with clarity about what you’re ready to nourish, awaken and bring into bloom.

You’ll leave feeling lighter without being depleted, nourished, more fluid and alive in your body—and ready to meet the growing season with renewed vitality.
