Yoga, Ayurveda & Seasonal Practices for Winter Resilience

Wintering Well

Prepare for the winter season with grounding, warming practices designed to help you gather your energy inward while sustaining your vitality. Through movement, breath, Ayurvedic self-care, reflection and deep rest, we’ll explore how to nourish your nervous system, tend your inner fire and create a supportive rhythm for the darker months ahead.

A Different Rhythm for Winter

As the days grow shorter and the natural world begins drawing its energy inward, we are invited to do the same.

Winter asks for a different kind of strength—less outward effort, more intentional tending. A season of warmth, nourishment, consistency and rest. A time to protect our reserves while continuing to nurture the spark that keeps us feeling alive.

In this three-hour immersion, we’ll explore what it means to transition into winter consciously: staying grounded and vital while honoring the body’s natural desire to slow down.

Move. Reflect. Restore.

We’ll begin with grounding, warming yoga and pranayama to mobilize the body, support circulation and cultivate steadiness as we move into the colder months.

Along the way, Mina will share simple Ayurvedic teachings for seasonal self-care, including the nourishing practice of abhyanga—self-massage with warm herbal oil—and practical ways to create more warmth, rhythm and support in your daily life.

From there, we’ll shift from movement into inquiry.

Through journaling, conversation and guided coaching, Michelle will lead us through a process of noticing, discerning and choosing:

Where is your energy going?

What truly deserves your attention this winter?

What might you be ready to release, simplify or protect?

You’ll create a personal Winter Declaration—a clear, grounding statement to guide how you want to tend your energy, nourish your body and keep your inner fire alive throughout the season.

We’ll close with a long, gooey deep-stretch and restorative practice, allowing the body to soften, settle and receive the medicine of deep rest.

You’ll Leave With:

  • A simple grounding and warming winter routine incorporating movement, breath and rest

  • Ayurvedic practices for supporting steadiness and nourishment through the colder months

  • An introduction to abhyanga and herbal body oil to continue the practice at home

  • Your own Winter Declaration to guide how you tend your time, energy and attention

  • Practical tools for supporting your nervous system and maintaining warmth and vitality through winter

  • A deeper sense of connection to what matters—and feeling really good in your body

Meet Your Guides

  • Michelle Ramseth

    E-RYT 500 YOGA TEACHER & LEADERSHIP COACH

I’m drawn to practices that meet us where we are—and gently invite us somewhere new. As we move toward winter, that might mean slowing down without becoming stagnant, conserving our energy without losing our spark, and creating a rhythm that feels nourishing and sustainable.

As an experienced yoga teacher and leadership coach, I weave together thoughtful movement, meaningful reflection, and practical spirituality. In this workshop, I’ll help create a warm, grounded space to reconnect with yourself, discover the winter rhythm you need, and learn practices for tending your energy and keeping your inner fire alive.

    Mina Isabel Shahriary

    E-RYT 500 YOGA TEACHER & HERBALIST

I’m deeply inspired by the intelligence of the natural world and the ways our bodies reflect its rhythms and cycles. My teaching weaves together yoga, somatic practice, Ayurveda, vitalist herbalism and nature connection to support greater steadiness, resilience and trust in the body’s own wisdom.

As a mother of two, I’ve become especially attuned to the importance of tending the nervous system and learning when to mobilize, when to soften, and when to conserve our energy. In this workshop, I’ll share grounding movement, breath and simple seasonal practices to help you feel warm, nourished and rooted as we move toward winter.
